| The Old
Armoury was once used by The Black Watch Regiment and local lore has it
that the site dates back to 1745 at a time of the Jacobite unrest. The Black Watch Regiment is Scotland's oldest since it first paraded on the banks of the River Tay in Aberfeldy in 1740 and has served with distinction from Aberfeldy to Kimberly during the Boer War and many more places too plentiful to name. The Old Armoury in Pitlochry was converted to a private house and over the years has evolved to what it is today. Before
